Introduction

I’m Taylor Kako — a husband, father, and follower of Christ. Born in Minnesota and raised between there and South Carolina, I’ve developed a deep passion for this beautiful state. When I’m not working, my family and I love exploring the Carolinas — from state parks and historical sites to the beach and the mountains.

I’m a REALTOR® with Real Broker LLC and also work as a foreman for a grading and development company. My background is rooted in blue-collar industries, primarily construction, and I spent many years remodeling our family homes alongside my dad. He instilled in me a drive for excellence and the work ethic to perform every task with diligence and integrity, no matter the career path God placed before me.

Career Path

My career began early — at just thirteen — on a farm where I quickly learned the value of hard work and following through on every task. Before long, the owner recognized my knack for fixing and building, moving me from the fields into the shop. There, I repaired equipment and crafted custom contraptions for events, including the farm’s annual fall festival.

When I earned my driver’s license, new opportunities opened up. I began working in construction while still helping at the farm, learning stone masonry from my best friend’s dad and log home building from his grandfather. These hands-on experiences shaped my skills and instilled a deep respect for craftsmanship.

After high school, I explored other paths, including a season as a deckhand on a towboat. It didn’t take long to realize that life on the water wouldn’t fit the family-centered future I envisioned. I returned to building log homes until God opened the door for my family and me to move back to South Carolina — where I’ve been building my career in grading and development ever since.

What brought us here?

I’m truly excited about this next chapter of life and what God has in store for my family and for the people I’ll have the opportunity to work with. I never imagined myself in a career outside of blue-collar work, but I’ve always been intrigued by the world of real estate.

With encouragement from some influential people in my life, I decided to pursue my real estate license — and the deeper I got into the process, the more my interest grew. That curiosity soon turned into a genuine passion, one I’m eager to share with my clients. By combining my background in construction and development with my commitment to serving others, I aim to guide you confidently through every step of the buying and selling process.
